Nice work there Shane..but I would have expected the whole thing to have been constructed from Lutz.

Cheers

Shane - One question - why are the drawers on the left hand wing facing the outside of the U rather than the inside?

Jim

[QUOTE=jtkirby] Shane - One question - why are the drawers on the left hand wing facing the outside of the U rather than the inside?

Hey Jim,

The bench is made up much like a kitchen cabinet would be. It is actually three seperate and self contained cases that are screwed together. Actually, I can take this whole thing apart and move it when the big shop gets built. But directly to your question. I wanted the drawers for storage and was not at all concerned having access from within the "U" as the things I will use all of the time I will end up mounting on the wall. But things like router wrenches and attachments, sandpaper, punches and drifts, allen keys, etc, all need a home that is handy but not necessairly right on the door step if you know what I mean. By putting them outside the "U" it makes for a very efficient use of space in that one case with very little loss in easy access. Besides, now I have a nice flat surface inside the "U" for a cool picture or a conversion chart or something!

Thanks again to all for the words of kind encouragement!

Shane
